I put the card in the machine and it was ready to go. Was able to get 1000 speed without any issues.

Installed the card in the computer, connected the cable and it came up running Gigabit Ethernet. It doesn't get easier than that.

After buying a Dynex DX-PCIGB card from Best Buy that never would connect to my router at 1 gigabit, I trashed it and bought the D-Link card. Windows 7 installed it and it connected at one gigabit with no problems.

Installed in a foxconn atom bare bones box I'm using for a windows home server. Worked great out of the box, comes with a 1/2 width faceplate that I used, which is why I went with this model.

Decent gigabit PCI nic. Supports up to 9K jumbo frames/packets, so you can use them in yer gigabit network if you so desire.
I've had no problems with it on any of the machines I've installed it in. Runs great on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.
